1. Core rule
SPOOKY exists to document paranormal claims, folklore, witness testimony, demonology references, and horror fiction without turning user posts into instructions, harassment, hoaxes, or unsafe dares.
Users are responsible for what they post and what they do. The archive may remove, restrict, label, or preserve content to protect people, evidence, the service, and the operator.
2. Reports and stories
Field reports should describe what happened, where, when, who was present, and what evidence exists. Do not present guesses as facts. Do not fabricate field reports.
Fiction belongs in the Creepypasta collection and should be submitted honestly as fiction.
Do not include other people’s private information, precise home addresses, workplaces, schools, phone numbers, license plates, faces, or identifying details unless you have permission and a lawful reason to share them.
3. Evidence uploads
Evidence must relate to the report. Upload only files you have the right to share and that do not invade privacy or violate someone else’s copyright, publicity, trademark, or other rights.
No sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, exploitative sexual content, gore for shock value, animal cruelty, malware, credential files, doxxing material, or off-topic uploads.
Do not upload manipulated, staged, AI-generated, or third-party evidence as first-hand proof without clear disclosure.
4. Comments and community discussion
Comments are user-generated speech, not archive instructions, endorsement, verification, or advice. Users may discuss claims, ask questions, share similar experiences, and challenge evidence respectfully.
Do not harass witnesses, recruit people into unsafe activity, pressure users to reveal private details, coordinate dogpiles, impersonate experts, or post threats, slurs, sexual harassment, stalking behavior, or targeted abuse.
5. Ritual, summoning, and occult content
Folklore, ritual accounts, invocations, banishments, wards, curses, possession claims, exorcism references, and demonology material may appear for documentation, criticism, research, discussion, or fiction only.
Do not use the archive to pressure, dare, command, recruit, sell, coordinate, or supervise rituals, summoning attempts, curses aimed at real people, exorcisms, trespass, self-harm, animal harm, violence, unlawful entry, stalking, or dangerous investigations.
If a user copies, adapts, performs, tests, or relies on anything described in a report or comment, that user acts entirely at their own risk. The archive does not endorse or participate in it.
6. Illegal, dangerous, or rights-violating content
Do not post content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, fraudulent, exploitative, hateful, threatening, invasive of privacy, spammy, malicious, or designed to evade moderation.
Do not post instructions for violence, self-harm, weapon misuse, break-ins, stalking, evidence tampering, harassment, animal harm, poisoning, drug misuse, or other unsafe conduct.
Do not use the archive for scams, paid occult services with guaranteed outcomes, impersonation, credential theft, malware distribution, or abusive automation.
7. Moderation actions
Archivists may label, move, decline, hide, remove, preserve, or restrict content. They may also warn, limit, suspend, or terminate accounts where needed to protect the archive.
Moderation decisions are not legal judgments, professional findings, paranormal findings, safety determinations, or endorsements of truth or falsity.
Repeat or severe violations may lead to account closure and preservation of relevant records for abuse prevention, legal compliance, or operator protection.
8. Reporting problems
Use in-app flags for ordinary moderation issues. Use the legal contact channel for urgent privacy, copyright, safety, non-consensual intimate imagery, child safety, or legal concerns.
